Very friendly staff, food is delicious too!

In my opinion the best Eritrean food in all of Frankfurt and the surrounding area !! The food is just delicious every time and there are good enough portions. There are also a variety of vegetarian / vegan dishes. The waiters: inside are friendly, cooperative and understanding and provide great service. You just feel that you are in good hands in the restaurant. Picking up is currently super smooth and the food makes me happy every time :) Absolute fan! Over and over again. Warmly recommended!

I can say that nothing has broken us until now! Every time it was a success in my mouth. The waiters are always hardworking and always polite! The inn is truly extremely stylishly furnished. No cheap decoration, instead everything was harmoniously matched in terms of color. I can really recommend this restaurant!

Very nice ambience and great service. Has been there several times and it always tasted delicious. Of course not always the same thing ;-) Recommended for couples as well as families!

Super authentic African restaurant, with a central location in the middle of Frankfurt. Attentive service, which explains the dishes and the historical background with pleasure at work. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back again !!

The restaurant is very eye-catching but tastefully decorated in an African style. I noticed that, unlike many other restaurants in Ffm, it is super clean, including the toilets. The food was delicious, we had a mixed platter for 6 people. It would have been a tad better if the plate had been kept warm. So unfortunately everything got cold very quickly. We had also ordered rice, which wasn't actually on the menu, but was kindly prepared especially for us. Unfortunately, it was not quite cooked when it was brought to us. Otherwise very recommendable!

Absolutely love this place! The food is so delicious!!! This place is special not just because of that, but also the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I had also celebrated my birthday in Kilimanjaro and I would definitely recommend it for any kind of events : romantic dinner, meeting with friends, celebrations and etc.

The sample plate for 4 was super good and there was even free injera. Staff also very friendly, it couldn't be better.

The food took some getting used to, but tasted good in itself. The ambience and the service were rather poor. The waitress couldn't even explain the dishes, which made it difficult for us as a larger group of first-time visitors to order. Attention was also lacking. There could have been a lot more sales of drinks.

We are excited! Without reserving a table, I think it will be difficult to find a seat due to the popularity of the restaurant. The service is very courteous and is happy to advise you if you have any questions or even make recommendations. We tried different African dishes and everything tasted excellent. The advertised African beers are served in traditional bowls. We will definitely be back!

Really liked this place. Low key, great food, great prices. Shared a mixed platter with friends and everyone left satisfied.

There are many African restaurants around the train station. Kilimanjaro is decent if you wanna try these flavours. Personally I don't think it's very refined and the meat in the set dish for 2 people was scarce. Very nice staff but the music was too loud.

Very nice first experience of the African cousine

This was a nice change from the ordinary! Beautifully presented food plater with a vast selection of Eritrean delights. The service was great and the food was delicious beyond compare. While I don't live in Frankfurt--only here for a few days--whenever I am back, I will make sure to include a visit to this special restaurant. Looking forward to it already!

Just great food in a great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Everything tasted very good and you feel really comfortable here ... I especially recommend the Kara Mara! The African beer is great too!

The food is delicious. Have had a vegetarian plate with a lot of variety. The restaurant is well arranged and everything is very well maintained. The service leaves nothing to be desired. Very attentive and very friendly. Here you can enjoy food!

It was my first time in an African restaurant and I have to say that it was really nice. Menu is not so large but every entry is real African food. I chose and starter and a main course but I couldn't finish with a dessert. I was full. I liked drink beer using an original cup instead of glass cup. It seems that I will repeat when I come back to Frankfurt.

Great African flair and Eritrean food and local and international drinks. Nice service. Here you can go well as a group and enjoy the atmosphere.

Based on other review we ordered the plate for two. If you are visiting for the first time you can't go wrong if you order this one (provided you've come with a friend or you've got big appetite). It was absolutely delicious - various meats, lentils, spinach, special bread that looked like a yeast pancake. If you want you can eat with your fingers, but have a fork available. We were told there would be a "bonus" if we didn't use the fork. We didn't (of course :-D) and we got a liquor shot at the end, probably black currant with herbs and we liked it very much. The guy who served us spoke great English and had a sense of humor so a big plus for that. Overall great experience!

Interesting food in a nice atmosphere, but once is enough. Interesting to eat with your hands. My meat was quite dry. The nice waitress didn't have much to do and was too seldom at the table. There would have been more sales. The beer is drunk from coconut shells. All in all, it was very affordable.

Tl;dr: start with samosas and get the single person sampler if it is your first time. This is my first African cuisine experience. Atmosphere is very relaxed and intimate. Lots of cheetah print. The samosas came out hot and crispy. I got the samosa kilimanjaro, and it was very good;great flavor. A pleasant surprise is the 1-person platter they have, similar to the 2-person. This is not listed in their online menu. It has 3 of the vegetable dished (potatoes, lentils, and spinach) and 2 meat dishes (beef and lamb). Definitely the best value if you want to try a bit of everything. Everything was well seasoned. The meat was a bit dry. The only complaint is that they seemed to drag out bringing the bill. Probably not an issue for groups enjoying themselves, but annoying when on your own. Also probably less of an issue on busier nights.

My boyfriend and I were feeling adventurous on our last night in Frankfurt so we decided to forego trying to find more schnitzel and opt for Kilimanjaro instead. I’m so glad we did! Pros: -Our waiter was awesome. He was very helpful in answering our questions about the food and he spoke great English too. -The mango beer was great and came out in a coconut bowl. -Free wi-fi. -The meal for two was everything we wanted. It had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. It was plenty of food for two people. Cons: -We didn’t have to wait for a table because we went for an early dinner, but the waiter said they usually only take reservations. So if you’re going during normal lunch/dinner rush, be aware of that!
